Who are we
Dragonkraft is a Riviera based company which was established in 2008.
Dragonkraft was developed to bring sustainable environmentally friendly solutions and work practices to the traditional engineering construction industries in the maritime, aeronautic and automotive sectors. Using a small and flexible workshop they are concentrating on developing organic bio resins and glues to replace the toxic and non-renewable epoxies currently used in many areas of transport construction. In addition to the development of epoxies Dragonkraft is using the shop to undertake bespoke projects for clients to showcase sustainable composite construction. These projects run from automobiles to RIB’s, sailing, and watercraft, to transport boxes for racing yachts.
As the demands on construction technologies increase, many industries are turning to composites to answer their strength and weight requirements for component production. Man-made epoxies have been in common usage for over half a century and their usage has increased to permeate every level of product manufacturing from space travel to food containers. The negative effect of non-renewable plastics and epoxies on the environment has been well documented and Dragonkraft is seeking to develop organic epoxy solutions to reverse this effect in all walks of life. The increased use of epoxies in the work place has led to allergic reactions in applicators and increased levels of airborne carcinogens skin allergies. It had been found that over 20 per cent of tradesmen who work with conventional epoxies have developed these allergies to the point where they are no longer able to function effectively. Subsequent testing has also indicated that allergies can show up in the finished products as well. Initial shop floor testing has shown the organic resin to be much less toxic and allows for a safer and healthier work environment for tradesmen and customers alike.
Company Structure
The company is structured as a SARL with a registered working capital of 10,000 euro and is based in Cannes, Côte d'Azur France. The desired aim of the company is to remain small and fluid to be able to deal quickly and efficiently with fluctuations in the market. It is envisaged that a profit sharing scheme will be adopted when the company shows a net profit on salesand we have no intention to create problems like the "food for fuel" scandale. We do an environmental assesment based on any product we put on the market.
Last year, as members of the non-profit association ECO-MER, and their event " les Yachts du Coeur", we participated in the collect of over 7 tons of food, which represents around 14 000 meals for our community.
The strategy of Dragonkraft is that everyone who works at the company has served a non-paid apprenticeship prior to taking up full time employment.
